According to a Pew Research Center survey conducted in January & February, Baby Boomers (those born 1946-1964) have a gloomy outlook on life. They tend to worry about their finances even though their incomes are higher than other groups.

A lot of bloggers are writing about this study. Boomers do have a lot to be gloomy about these days due to the faltering economy and rising food and gas prices.
Other generations are discouraged about these trends, too.
